the use of living creatures reproduced in controlled environments parallels stiegler's critique of algorithmic governance. new methods of control, seemingly less visible but more pervasive in their impact, manifest themselves through closed life forms and question the insidious control of social systems. the organic growth inside aquariums reflects the constrained yet unpredictable nature of human behavior under algorithmic surveillance.
